Pi Kapp's Raise Money for People With Disabilities

Pi Kappa Phi raises money in our first annual Pedals for Push event.

Pedals for Push is an event in which members of Pi Kappa Phi ride a stationary bike to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities. Throughout the day members kept the bike pedals turning as they solicited passers by for donations, and explained the goals of our national philanthropy Push America.

The event was very successful, bringing in more than $400 in donations for Push America. A portion of this money will be set aside for local nonprofit Families Together, and the rest will go towards national projects such as Journey of Hope, and Build America.

Pi Kappa Phi Joins Old Greek Row!

We have secured a house on Old Greek Row at 777 South Deakin Avenue. Currently 15 members have signed agreements to live in the house, and we plan for a strong presence at fraternity recruitment to increase the number of members living in house. Members will begin moving into the house on August 15th, 5 days before fraternity recruitment begins.

We are very excited by the rate at which we have been growing and anticipate to reach the target membership levels to be eligible for chartering by the end of 2014. We see having a house on Old Greek row as a great opportunity to quickly integrate ourselves into the greek community, and look forward to getting to know our new neighbors.

Delta Zeta Turtle Tug

On April 27th, we brought two teams out to the turtle tug (a tug-of-war over a pit of green jello put on by Delta Zeta Sorority). One of our teams made it to the semi-finals! We had a really good time, and look forward to doing even better next year.
