July 8 - Lincoln

Today marks one month from our arrival in Washington D.C. it is hard to believe how long I have been away from Idaho on this trip, in some ways it feels like an eternity, and in others if feels like just yesterday I was in Portland.

Today was a surprisingly easy day givin that it was a 100 mile ride. The guys were flying today, and made it to Lincoln in time for lunch at Raising Cane's which was sooooo good!

After lunch I took a group of guys to the bike shop during free time. It was a pretty cool bike shop, but I am starting to notice that for the most part all bike shops are the same.

When we got back to lodging I was chosen to be interviewed to be on TV! It was cool talking about our mission, and experiences so far on the trip. It is supposed to be posted online, I'll put the link up if I find it.

We then went to dinner in the park, which was sponsored by a serivice group that supports the deaf. The food was great, I sat next to a guy who had done a cross country bike ride himself.

Lastly we had a dance with the Ark of Lincoln Nebraska! The DJ was top notch, and played all the perfect songs! It was a blast. I was out there dancing and having a good time with everyone. I know it is a little redundant, but the impact we are making on these people is so noticeable! This is one of the best things I have done in my life!

I am still sick though which sucks! Hopefully I will be able to keep getting some rest, so I can get over it faster!
