July 20 - Milwaukee
Today marked our final day in Milwaukee it is the only city on the whole trip that we are in for 3 nights.
We woke up and headed to breakfast at Independence First, who is our big Sponsor in Milwaukee.
After breakfast we put on our puppet show and got to hang out at a local school. My group ended up playing tag on the playground. It was a blast!
We then headed to lunch sponsored by Karl's family. We are at Bravo! which is like a slightly nicer Olive Garden.
We then went to the Pettit Ice Center which is an Olympic Training Site. We played wheelchair hockey which was really hard, but also really fun. Rolling a wheel chair on ice is very challenging, and your hands get super cold!
Finally we headed to the mall to have a friendship visit with Girls First. We broke into groups and hung out with different girls with disabilities. My group went to both Build-a-Bear and the Lego Store! I had a really good time, it was fun to get to know Allie and learn about her life. It was sad to leave the mall, as our group had really enjoyed getting to know each other!
We then headed to lodging to clean up and get ready for our 85 mile ride tomorrow.
