Today was our second. Day at the Rocky Mountain Valley Easter Seals camp. It was nice getting to sleep in, and just not having to worry about so much stuff.

Our day started off with the morning flag raising at the camp. We sang more camp songs and got hyped up before breakfast. We then went inside for French toast breakfast! It was delicious! I sat at a table with a camper named Alex, she likes to grab people fingers (or noses, or hands, or ears) and "steal" them. It was such a funny, and simple interaction, but you could tell she was having a good time.

After breakfast the cyclists got to stay at the camp and have fun with the campers. The crew however had to go on an all crew scout of the ride tomorrow. Since the ride into Denver is pretty complicated and our schedule is tight it is critical that we get it right!

The scout went well, but it wasn't fun having all. 8 of us crammed into one mini van. We had Wendy's in Denver since we were not going to be back in time for camp lunch.

When we got back to camp Dennis and I used our free time to explore the camp, and walk some of the mountain trails. When we were closer to camp a Alex's (from breakfast) counselor came up to us and said that Alex wanted us to ride the tractor sound the camp with her. We hopped into the the trailer behind the tractor and hung out with some of the campers and counselor soft the half hour ride. By the end we were singing camp songs and dancing it was a good time.

After we had dinner we went to a puppet show about superheroes that the camp had brought in. It was pretty funny, and the campers really enjoyed it.

Finally we had a guy talk to us about the history of Easter Seals, and the camp. It is cool to see the great work that other organizations are doing to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Also we got good news about Alex our Crew Chief. He will be returning to the team tomorrow night. Also we got word that the cyclist from south route with the worst injuries walked for the first time today. We are very thankful that things didn't end up worse.
