June 19 -Salt Lake City

Today was hectic, as any long day of cycling tends to be. We woke up super early to try to beat the heat, and I got to see a beautiful sunrise.

The theme of the day seemed to be flies though. They seem to have infested my van, and the whole day there were flies bothering me (like hundreds of flies). We went to Walmart in Salt Lake City and I picked up a big bomb to try to kill them all.

Only four cyclists had a fast enough pace to finish the ride. The rest made it to about mile 100 before we had to drive them to lodging to stay on schedule.

Lodging is a Methodist church, and it is really cool. There is an exact replica of michelangelo's pieta. They also have an amazing organ!

We had dinner with a Pi Alpha who welcomed us into his home and made us burgers and hotdogs, there were delicious and filling!

Finally we had some free time, and got the good news that wakeup isn't until 8:00 am tomorrow!
