7/22/15 - Camp Riley day 4

Today was a very busy but very successful day. since the last two days went so well, we as a team decided to wake up early so that we could finish the horse run a day early.

We spent the morning on ladders and fence posts setting rafters.

By breakfast we had set all the rafters and we're ready to begin siding and roofing. We spent the rest of the day adding siding, plywood, and tin roofing. We managed to work fast enough that we were completely done by 5:30. It was exciting to get such a big project done so fast.

In the evening we got to go play World Cup games with the campers. We played finger soccer, sang camp songs and soccer cheers, and made crafts. It was fun to play with the campers, and to help the councillors out with managing the craft stuff.

tomorrow we have the day off since we finished early, so we will get the opportunity to help the campers with challenge day.

the connection I personally have had with the campers in my cabin this week Has been especially close and meaningful. I'm really excited to see them blast through their challenges tomorrow.

til next time,
