6/24/15 - kickoff!
Early this morning I arrived at the Logan international airport in Boston after a long flight and a layover in JFK. I was definitely the earliest to leave to the airport, as well as the earliest one to arrive in Boston. after waiting at the airport for a few hours, I met up with some of the other guys and waited for the vans to arrive to pick us up.
Were staying at St. John's church, a small congregation house right next to downtown Boston. It was very nice for the church to let us use their facilities for the next few days while we complete our safety and tool training
The room we have in the basement is nice, and the AC does an excellent job of keeping out the humid east coast summer heat.
Once we were settled and filled out our paperwork, we spent most of the day starting our training and getting to know each other. after we were done, we all went on a tour from downtown Boston to the harbor courtesy of Boston native and Pi Kapp's own Nick Julian.
As an architecture major, the number of amazing buildings old and new is incredible. I didn't even have time to take pictures and read about most of the buildings we walked by. I'll just post a some of the cooler pictures I took, but if you ever have the chance to visit Boston, I heavily recommend it.
Well after such a long overnight flight and a busy day full of running around, I am ready to hit the hay. Tomorrow we don't have to wake up til 7:30, which I hear is sleeping in by normal standards, but this sleep schedule is going to take time to get used to.
